Winemaker’s Notes

Blocks 18 & 19, two contiguous blocks at the eastern edge of the Passalacqua vineyard called the bowl, were blended to produce this classic Cabernet. Slightly tilted east, grapes are harvested exclusively from the east side of the vines and on the south facing slope.

Grapes from this “bowl” exhibit classic Cabernet flavors of cassis, dark berry and black cherry. Fruit flavors are forward and well integrated with the wonderful toast and subtle vanillin of the Taransaud French barrels.
