The Diciassette boasts its Italian heritage, showing the beautiful contrasting aromas of cherry and cranberry balanced against dusty earth. The mouth brings more bright red plum, and a vibrant acidity thanks to the Sangiovese. The Cabernet brings a powerful tannin structure that will enable this wine to age gracefully for many years. The toasty vanilla oak characteristics, dried fruit, and a touch of earth marry so well that it is difficult to tease out the details. This unique blend is favored each year for its versatility - it is a natural to serve with hors d’oeuvres right through the meal, and on to a cheese course.
Diciassette marks the seventeenth vintage of our signature Super-Tuscan blend. Every year the precise composition changes in order to maintain consistency and deliver the most intriguing and complex wine. The Diaciassette is 50% 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon from the TR Passalacqua Ranch, and 50% 2023 Sangiovese from, Saini Farms in Dry Creek Valley.
